Magda's home state in Brazil is the southern-most, on the border with Argentina and Uruguay. Her interest in art started with training at the children's art school at the Alliance Francaise in Brasilia. In 1981 she attended the Vasco Prado - Zoravia Bettiol Art Studio. In that year she had her first exhibition at the state legislature building in Porto Alegre, Favos da Terra, of colored drawings.
In 1989 Magda showed her work in Maria Maria, Paintings and Drawings, at The Fine Arts Gallery of Loyola University, New Orleans, LA.
In 1991 Magda presented Aparicao at the Hotel Nacional, Brasilia, Brazil. See the review by Dr. Jorge Ruedas de la Serna, cultural attache at the Mexican Embassy in Brazil.
While living in the Chicago area from 1998 to 2007 Magda participated in many shows in the metropolitan circuit.
